[ in my email this morning…. ]

Be advised: If you are having a conversation about Iraq that will involve more then 2 sentences you should always make sure to work in the phrase “On The Ground” in any way possible. Some examples:

“Only Petraeus knows the facts on the ground

“The troops on the ground will tell you everything is going great”

“We’re fond of saying there were no WMD’s found, but people on the ground know they were relocated before the war”

It is acceptable and encouraged to use this phrase as much as possible in conversations on any topic, but if the subject is Iraq, it is a requirement if you want to show you know the topic. Failure to use this phrase when conversing about Iraq will signal to others that you don’t support the troops, and are in fact an enemy of freedom.
