Despite the unseemly crux of the story, the podcast compellation of Josh Levin’s “Dispatches from the R. Kelly Trial” is absolutely compelling and, yes, at times horse-laugh funny.

Levin seems to be the anti-Grisham as he analyzes Kelly’s shifting, yet ultimately successful, defensive strategies.  The Shaggy Defense,  the Little Man Defense, the Ghost Sex Defense to name but a few.

Clocking in at 73 minutes, it’s perfect for liistening for a commute.  Sock this away for later.
